The upcoming GS1 3.1.34 (February 2026) release has been cancelled by gs1.org.
The following data pools will however still implement changes.

Denmark
Summary from data pool:
What to be aware of:
- Requirement to specify collective arrangements at base units.
Will be added as field D2174 (with option to indicate exemption in field D2163). - Meal replacements and supplement products must fill in additional mandatory information.
- Products containing chemicals will display new CLP related fields with warnings to fill in.
- Eggs in shell for general consumers require extra attention as quality/grade, size and farming method now need to be filled in.
- Coffee products will see new fields related to coffee production.
Finland
- New excise/VAT tax codes related to soft drink tax, which will come into effect on April 1, 2026, will be introduced into GS1 Synkka. When creating new products, you can already use the new excise tax codes. A note about the removal has been added to the name of the codes that are being removed.
