In the weekend of February 21-22, 2026, GS1 Denmark will introduce a requirement that the name of your Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) is filled out in field D2174 (GS1 DK: 1715) for all base units on the Danish market.
To assist with this change, we are offering to configure fmcgProducts, so that this field is automatically populated with the name of your specific Producer responsibility organisation. This configuration will apply to both new and existing products.
If you would like to enable this feature, please email helpdesk@fmcgsolutions.dk and state which Producer responsibility organisation you use.
We will then update your fmcgProducts settings accordingly.
Update February 25: GS1 Denmark has decided to change the rule to a warning so that it for now is not a requirement to indicate the name of your Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) in field D2174 (GS1 DK: 1715).
