Send from the top unit: the pallet, display or case that has no unit above it. fmcgProducts sends that hierarchy to the data pool for the target market.
- Save every unit in the hierarchy.
- Open the top unit. Sending is not available while you are looking at an older version of the product.
- Open the menu (the button with three lines) and choose Show product hierarchy and send to GS1. On a Norwegian product the same menu item refers to Tradesolution EPD.
- Each unit in the dialogue has a validation label. Green means the unit passed. Red means it did not. Click the red label to see the field number, the field name and the message.
- Correct any red unit, save, and open the dialogue again.
- Choose Send on the top unit. The button is only on the top unit. Done means fmcgProducts has sent the hierarchy. The upload light on the product then shows whether the data pool has accepted it.
The menu item is grey when sending is turned off for that target market, or when the product is not set up to be sent.

To send the hierarchy again to one data recipient, use the resend item in the same menu. It is shown on a top unit that is not published to the public recipient. Choose the recipient and confirm.
