The home page opens with coloured tiles. Each tile shows how many products are in an overview and opens that overview. The standard tiles are described in How to use the home page. You can hide those standard tiles for a function, and you can add tiles for views you created. The news and questions under the tiles stay as they are.
To hide the standard tiles, open Setup, then Functions, and open the function. Tick Hide standard views and click Save. Users on that function no longer see the standard tiles. The standard overviews are also left out of the product menu. Views you created stay in the menu when the user is allowed to open them. A user who is not attached to a function still sees the standard tiles.
To add a tile, open Setup, then Views, and open a view you created. A standard view cannot be edited, so these settings are not on it. Use New copy on a standard view when you want your own version, then set the tile on the copy.
Under Options, set Show on dashboard? to Yes. Dashboard icon uses the same list of icons as a field. Pick an icon, or leave it empty. An empty icon shows a list icon on the tile. Click Save.
The home page then shows a tile with that icon, the number of products, and the view name. The tile opens the overview. The tiles follow the Index on each view. The first tile in that order is blue, then green, yellow and red, and then the colours start again. Up to 100 of these tiles are shown. They stay on the home page when the standard tiles are hidden.
A user sees a tile only when that user can open the view. Under Access, Functions and Roles choose who can open it. Leave both empty when every user may open it.
