Tradesolution EPD uses phase 1 and phase 2 to decide which data is required. Phase 1 has fewer requirements. Phase 2 has all of them. fmcgProducts supports both phases, including validation.
You can start a new product in phase 1, or register it directly in phase 2. If all the information is available from the start, register it in phase 2.
A new product needs QA approval to go from phase 1 to phase 2. When you register in phase 1, Tradesolution assigns an EPD number after QA approves the product. The remaining product information is added later, and QA must approve it again.
An existing product can be maintained directly in phase 2.
On the top unit, set EPDSendToQA to Yes to send the product to QA. Set EPDSendToPhase2 to Yes to register in phase 2, or to move a product that is still in phase 1. Leave EPDSendToPhase2 unset to keep the registration in phase 1.
- Open the top unit.
- Set EPDSendToQA to Yes.
- Set EPDSendToPhase2 to Yes when the registration should be in phase 2.

Tradesolution sends the product to QA when the data is valid. QA approval of a phase 1 registration assigns the EPD number. A later QA approval of the remaining information moves the product to phase 2.
